ABOUT PHILIPP AMMON

Philipp Ammon is an accomplished London-based travel, documentary and portrait photographer. He is passionate about exploring the beauty of the planet and creating stories that seek to connect people to each other and the natural world we inhabit.

Growing up in a small town in the Taunus forest near Frankfurt, Germany empowered Philipp with a great appreciation for the outdoors. It also pushed him into expanding his horizons through travel. He embarked on his professional life as a school teacher after becoming certified in Toronto, Canada. This opened doors to teaching at international schools in London and Kyoto before he returned to the UK to turn his passion for photography into a career. In 2012, he completed a masters in photojournalism and documentary photography at the University of the Arts, London and began combining his love for travel with his expertise in visual story telling.

His unique experience has earned him the trust to work on exciting global campaigns with clients in the commercial, corporate, editorial and charity/NGO sector. As a result, he has been invited by industry leading brands such as WEX Photo Video and Traverse-Events to teach at conferences and workshops around the globe. He also continues to work with young people, helping them take their first steps towards a creative career.

In 2018, Philipp launched Capturing Wanderlust with his partner, Mandy, as a way to document and share their adventures with a growing audience of travel and photo/video enthusiasts. Philipp often combines forces with Mandy’s video production agency to deliver complex projects for clients.

Hello! My name is Philipp Ammon and I’m a London-based travel, documentary and portrait photographer. I have helped a variety of clients in the corporate, commercial, press and NGO/non-profit sectors share their stories through beautiful imagery, social media campaigns and public speaking all around the globe.
Additionally, I run workshops and masterclasses for top brands in the photography industry. I believe in long-term working relationships and am dedicated to producing the very best for my clients. From short interviews, to beautiful cinematics and fine-tuned brand content, we have your video needs covered. We work closely with our partners over at Mandy Celine to produce top notch videos tailored to your needs.

Writing

Alongside a beautiful visual story belongs an emotive narrative. Allow your audience to tag along on a journey through my writing either on your own platforms, or deliver it to a base of adventure lovers subscribed to Capturing Wanderlust, our travel specific content platform. I also love writing about my experiences as a professional photographer and the tools that help me along the way.

Education & Public Speaking

I love speaking about about my experiences working as a photographer and travelling the world. Many of my most character building moments have been on campaigns for clients, which I have spoken about at fundraisers and charity events, lectures and workshops. I am passionate about sharing what I’ve learnt with a wider audience. I have experience running technical workshops and presenting for large organisations as well as for smaller private groups.

Social Media Campaigns

I offer social media content from Instagram stories, to live updates and take-overs reaching an engaged audience on my own social channels or through your own. I like to keep my social content lighthearted with a focus on experiences, destinations and products that serve other digital content creators and travellers.
